Following the initial formalities, the event progressed with the principal delivering an address, setting the tone for the workshop. The subsequent session focused on introducing the resource persons, including Ms. Roopa Avudiapppan, Project Manager, Ms. Ruchi Sharma, Sr. Project Technical Assistant, and Ms. Shyama H, Sr. Project Technical Assistant, all from the e-Yantra Team at IIT Bombay. These individuals, as resource persons, were pivotal in providing insights and knowledge during the workshop.

The program further featured an address by a trustee and concluded with presidential remarks, enriching the event with valuable perspectives and insights. Finally, the proceedings wrapped up with a well-deserved vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that contributed to the success of the workshop.

Chief Guest Address on briefing of Two days Hands-on workshop on Robotics

The inaugural day of the workshop unfolded with a comprehensive introduction to the Firebird V robot, setting the stage for an immersive learning experience. Participants eagerly received their designated robots, marking the commencement of a hands-on session. This practical segment aimed to empower participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to program the Firebird V robot in accordance with specific requirements.

The resource persons took the lead in instructing participants on diverse facets of the Firebird V robot, emphasizing key aspects such as robot controls, interfacing with the AVR Microcontroller, and navigating the programming environment. Through a systematic approach, participants were guided through the intricacies of programming the robot, ensuring a thorough understanding of its functionalities. Crucially, each participating college was furnished with a dedicated kit, granting participants exclusive access to their assigned Firebird V robots for the entire two-day duration of the workshop. This not only facilitated a hands-on learning experience but also encouraged participants to actively engage with and apply their acquired knowledge throughout the workshop.

Participants actively endulged at workshop

The training sessions on the Firebird V robot were designed to empower participants with practical skills, ensuring that they not only grasped theoretical concepts but also gained proficiency in real-world applications. This approach fostered an interactive and dynamic learning environment, enabling participants to maximize their understanding and proficiency in working with the Firebird V robot.

On the second day of the workshop, the resource persons delved into an in-depth exploration of various interfacing techniques with the Firebird V robot. Participants were guided through practical sessions, learning how to effectively interface with the robot and manipulate its movements along predefined paths. The hands-on experience included providing participants with tracks, allowing them to implement and test their understanding of interfacing and path control with the Firebird V robot.
