1. INTRODUCTION

The IEEE Student Branch, JIT, in collaboration with the IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Chapter, organized an invited talk by Mr. Venugopal D. R., AVP – Marketing, Nichi-In Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., on the topic “Bridging Japanese Language Proficiency with IoT Career Opportunities” on 11th April 2026 from 11:20 AM to 1:00 PM in the ECE Seminar Hall, JIT Campus.

The event was conducted to create awareness about learning the Japanese language among 4th Semester ECE students of both A and B sections. The program also aimed to promote awareness about IEEE and to encourage students to actively participate in technical and professional development activities through IEEE initiatives.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Venugopal D. R., along with the Head of the ECE Department and Advisor of the IEEE SPS Student Chapter, Dr. Asha Bharathi S., and IEEE Student Branch Counselor Dr. Sowmya Padukone G.

The session provided valuable insights with the objective of exposing students to global career opportunities and emerging technological trends.

2. EVENT PROCEEDINGS

Student Disha N. Bettaiah, of 4th Semester ECE, on behalf of the students, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Management of Jyothy Institute of Technology for facilitating and supporting the successful conduct of the IEEE event. She also formally and cordially invited the dignitaries of the event.

The session marked an enriching academic experience, highlighting the significance of the rapid advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT), which has transformed industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, and smart cities. At the same time, Japan stands out as a global leader in technological innovation, particularly in robotics, automation, and embedded systems.

This was followed by an insightful talk on “Bridging Japanese Language Proficiency with IoT Career Opportunities” delivered by the guest, Mr. Venugopal D. R.

There were 41 IEEE students and 40 Non-IEEE students present at the event.
