Gameathon 8.0, a game development event organized by
Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, provided an
engaging platform for aspiring game developers to showcase
their creativity, technical expertise, and innovation.
The event encouraged participants to design and develop
interactive games by integrating programming, artificial
intelligence, game mechanics, storytelling, and immersive
visual experiences.
The competition witnessed impressive game development
projects from participating institutions, highlighting
the students’ ability to transform innovative ideas
into engaging gaming experiences.
The winning team from RV University,
Game Brahma, developed a futuristic
science-fiction survival game centered on humanity’s
battle against rogue artificial intelligence.
The game challenges players to infiltrate dangerous
facilities, collect powerful weapons, overcome advanced
security systems, and complete missions within
a limited timeframe.
The winning team from Jyothy Institute of Technology,
Spicebros, developed an action-packed
science-fiction survival game titled
“LAST HUMAN: INDUSTRIAL OVERRIDE.”
The game depicts humanity’s final resistance against
rogue artificial intelligence, requiring players to
deploy elite operatives, infiltrate dangerous industrial
sectors, overcome hostile environments, and fight
for survival.
The achievements of these teams demonstrated exceptional
creativity, technical knowledge, teamwork, and
problem-solving abilities.
Gameathon 8.0 successfully encouraged innovation in
game development while providing participants with
valuable practical exposure to emerging technologies.
The primary objective of Gameathon 8.0 was to encourage
students to explore the field of game development
through creativity, innovation, and hands-on
technical experience.
The event aimed to provide a competitive platform
where participants could apply their knowledge of
programming, artificial intelligence, game design,
animation, and interactive storytelling to develop
functional and engaging games.
The competition also emphasized teamwork, critical
thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
By encouraging participants to conceptualize, design,
develop, and present original gaming projects,
Gameathon 8.0 aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical
learning and practical application while inspiring
students to pursue opportunities in the gaming
and technology industries.
Participation in Gameathon 8.0 provided students with
valuable practical exposure to game development
and emerging technologies.
Gameathon 8.0 served as an effective platform for
encouraging innovation, developing industry-relevant
technical skills, and providing students with practical
experience in designing and implementing creative
gaming solutions.
