IQAC

About IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a dedicated body formed within higher educational institutions to ensure the continuous improvement of both academic and administrative activities. It plays an important role in promoting and maintaining quality standards across the institution while supporting quality enhancement initiatives. The IQAC also contributes significantly to accreditation and assessment processes conducted by agencies such as the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Objectives of IQAC

  • Promote continuous improvement in both academic and administrative processes to enhance overall institutional performance.
  • Foster a culture of quality and excellence across all activities within the institution.
  • Strengthen stakeholder satisfaction by addressing the needs and expectations of students, faculty, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the institution in achieving better accreditation outcomes and improving its ranking performance.
  • Encourage the effective implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and contribute to excellence in engineering education.

Functionalities of IQAC

  • Establishing Quality Benchmarks: Develop and implement quality standards for academic, research, and administrative activities to promote institutional excellence.
  • Monitoring Academic Processes: Track curriculum delivery, lesson plan execution, course outcome attainment, and overall academic performance to ensure effective teaching and learning.
  • Collecting and Analyzing Feedback: Gather feedback from students, alumni, parents, employers, and other stakeholders, and use the insights for continuous improvement.
  • Promoting Innovative Teaching Practices: Encourage the use of ICT-enabled teaching methods, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and student-centered learning approaches.
  • Supporting Research and Development: Facilitate research initiatives by promoting publications, patents, funded projects, consultancy activities, and collaborative research efforts.
  • Facilitating Faculty Development: Organize and support Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, seminars, conferences, and training sessions to enhance faculty competencies.
  • Maintaining Institutional Documentation: Ensure systematic documentation and preservation of records related to academic, administrative, and quality assurance activities.
  • Conducting Quality Audits: Carry out periodic academic and administrative audits to assess performance, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinating Accreditation and Ranking Activities: Support institutional participation in accreditation, assessment, and ranking processes such as NAAC, NBA, and NIRF.
  • Enhancing Student Support and Progression: Monitor mentoring systems, internship opportunities, placement activities, skill development initiatives, and pathways for higher education and career advancement.
