eyantra

What Is eyantra?

e-Yantra is an embedded systems and robotics project sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and hosted at IIT Bombay. Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Karnataka has set up a e-Yantra Embedded Systems and Robotics Lab on 4 th November 2020 under the e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) to impart training and education in the area of embedded systems and robotics.
The goal is to harness the talent of young engineers to solve problems using technology across a variety of domains such as: agriculture, manufacturing, defence, home, smart-city maintenance and service industries.

Inaugurated by Prof. Kavi Arya, PI, e-Yantra, IIT Bombay with the presence of Dr. K. Gopalakrishna, Principal, Jyothy Institute of Technology, Dr. C.B. Mohan, Vice-principal, Jyothy Institute of Technology and Dr. K. Chandrasekhar, Professor and Head, Dept of ECE, Jyothy Institute of Technology.

Benefits of e-Yantra Robotics lab to students:

  • It provides platform to design, develop, program and test of embedded systems applications and robots to various applications.
  • e-Yantra MOOC is an online platform developed to offer Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for individuals from varying background to encourage interested students / working professionals to take advantage of the courses.
  • Students can participate in national and international robotics competitions.
  • Helps to improve project development thinking, problem solving and logical thinking with help of e-Yantra open-source community.
