Marathon was organized at Jyothy Institute of Technology, on 10-02-2024, Saturday from 7.00 am onwards.
Marathon was conducted for creating Cancer Awareness among students.
The event was conducted under the banner of Rotract club, JIT and IEEE Computer Society.
Dr. P S Raghavendra, Charter President of Rotary Bengaluru, Bharatha Vistara, was the chief guest.
Chief guest addressed the gathering and spoke about the prevention of cancer.
The Marathon was inaugurated jointly by chief guest Dr P S Raghavendra, Sri. Ramesh B K, Trustee, Jyothy
Charitable Trust and Dr Gopalakrishna K, Principal, JIT.
Chief guest, Principal, Heads of Departments, Teaching and non-teaching staff, students participated in the
marathon. Marathon was for a distance of 5 KM, covering Rachena Madu.
Medals and certificates were distributed to the participants. Light refreshment was also provided at half way
and end point of the marathon.
We thank Management, Principal for encouraging us to conduct this event.
We thank Mr. Madhu H G, Director Physical Education, who has helped us to conduct this event.
We thank housekeeping staff, drivers for helping us to conduct this event.
We thank all the participants for making this event a grand success.
