Sri. B Mahadevan​

Professor B. Mahadevan is a distinguished academic and thought leader known for bridging ancient Indian wisdom with modern management practices. With over 35 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, he served as Professor of Operations Management at IIM Bangalore and was the Founding Vice-Chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth.

He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Madras, and his areas of expertise include Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Bhagavad Gita-inspired leadership models, spirituality in the workplace, and service system design. His textbook, An Introduction to Indian Knowledge System: Concepts and Applications, is widely adopted across Indian universities.

Prof. Mahadevan has held key academic and advisory roles, including Visiting Scholar at Dartmouth College (USA), EADS–SMI Chair Professor at IIMB, Chief Editor of IIMB Management Review, and consultant to Deloitte Consulting LLP. He has served on boards such as IIT Madras, Chanakya University, and California Management Review.

Recognized for his teaching excellence, he received the ICFAI Best Teacher Award and is widely respected for his impactful research, with 30+ publications and 4,200+ citations. and various other books, articles to his credit.

In recent years, he has dedicated himself to disseminating Vedānta, Gītā, and Sanātana Dharma through public talks, writings, and digital initiatives. He is also an advisor to Vyoma Linguistic Labs Foundation, supporting global efforts to preserve and promote Sanskrit and Indian heritage.
