Dr. Prashant Sunagar

Dr. Prashant Sunagar is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering and extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, accreditation and institutional quality assurance. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Sciences from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), an M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, and a B.E. in Civil Engineering from SJCE. His research interests encompass structural engineering, sustainable construction materials, concrete technology, geopolymer and alkali-activated concrete, structural analysis, earthquake engineering, computational modelling, artificial intelligence/machine learning applications in engineering, and sustainable infrastructure. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and has contributed to several funded research projects. His academic leadership experience includes responsibilities in IQAC, NBA, NIRF, Training and Placement, IIRS-ISRO outreach, NPTEL, Board of Examiners and Board of Studies. He has also guided numerous UG and PG research projects and contributed to the establishment and upgradation of structural, concrete, remedial-engineering and earthquake-engineering laboratories.
