Dr. Gopalakrishna K is a distinguished academician and institutional leader with over 35 years of experience in engineering education, research, and innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Tribology (NAL–VTU) and an M.Tech in Production Engineering from the University of Mysore. Since 2017, he has been serving as the Principal of Jyothy Institute of Technology (JIT), Bangalore, where he has spearheaded NBA accreditation, improved NIRF Innovation Rankings, and established CIIRC – a state-of-the-art R&D and incubation centre – as well as an ATAL Incubator. His leadership has fostered strong academic-industry partnerships, student innovation, and impactful research collaborations with organizations like DRDO and ISRO. With 30+ publications, five patents, and extensive experience mentoring doctoral scholars, Dr. Gopalakrishna combines deep technical knowledge with visionary academic administration.
