Event Summary The Department conducted a Web Development Workshop for first-year students to introduce them to the fundamentals of modern web technologies.

The workshop covered Networking Basics, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, enabling participants to understand the process of designing and developing responsive web applications.

Students were also guided to create their own portfolio web pages as part of the hands-on learning experience.

Highlights • Introduction to computer networking concepts and TCP 3-way handshake

• Hands-on sessions on HTML for creating structured web pages.

• Practical training in CSS for designing attractive user interfaces.

• Demonstration and implementation of Bootstrap for responsive web design.

• Interactive JavaScript sessions covering DOM manipulation, event handling, and form validation.

• Mini-projects and portfolio website development activities.

• Active student participation with dedicated Q&A sessions.

Attendance First-year students from Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Information Science & Engineering branches participated enthusiastically in the workshop.
Outcome Participants gained a strong foundation in web development concepts and acquired practical skills in building responsive websites.

Students successfully developed basic web pages and portfolio websites, improving their confidence in web technologies and encouraging further exploration in the field.
