| Event Summary | A Cybersecurity Awareness Session was conducted on 29th October at the CSE Seminar Hall, Jyothy Institute of Technology. This session was organized in collaboration with the India–Israel Cyberpark Academy and supported by the Rotaract Club of Raj Mahal Villas and the Rotaract Club of Jyothy Institute of Technology. The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, industry expectations, emerging threats, and the career roadmap in this growing domain.
1 Cybersecurity Career Roadmap. Growing demand for cybersecurity experts in India, Industry job roles & required skills, Guidance for students planning cybersecurity careers 2 Technical Concepts Covered; Basics of Network Security, OS Security & Cloud Security, Introduction to IT/OT Security and IoT security challenges, Modern cyber threats and defense strategies 3 Hands-On Demonstrations Using Kali Linux, students were shown: Nmap – Network scanning, Wireshark – Packet analysis, Angry IP Scanner – Host discovery, Metasploit Framework – Exploitation basics 4 Real-Time Student Career Survey, Students were asked about their interests, awareness levels, and aspirations in cybersecurity. 5 Interactive Q&A Session: Students clarified doubts about: Ethical hacking, Certifications, real-world attack simulations, Internship and job opportunities |

| Conclusion | The Cybersecurity Awareness Session successfully fulfilled its objective of equipping students with essential knowledge and practical insights into cybersecurity. The collaboration between Cyberspark Academy and the Rotaract Clubs helped deliver a high-impact learning experience. Students expressed interest in attending future advanced workshops, certification programs, and hands-on cybersecurity bootcamps. |
