Awareness Program on Standards by BIS – Department of ECE, JIT
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, JIT, successfully organized an Awareness Program on Standards in association with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The event began at 10:00 AM in the ECE Seminar Hall.

The formal inauguration was marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished dignitaries: Mr. Ravichander, former Director / Scientist – E & Head, BIS; Dr. Gopala Krishna, Principal, JIT; Dr. Chandrasekhar K, HOD, ECE; and Prof. N. Narasimha Swamy. Mr. Ravichander delivered an insightful session on the role and significance of Bureau of Indian Standards, particularly in shaping quality and compliance across various sectors.

As part of the program, a Quiz Competition was conducted to engage students and enhance their understanding of standards. The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates during the Valedictory Session, which also included a heartfelt vote of thanks to the management, faculty, students, and the esteemed BIS guest.
