Introduction
The AI Nexus Awards 2K26 was a prestigious recognition event organized by the AI Nexus Club under the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. The event was conducted with the objective of acknowledging and celebrating student excellence across multiple domains such as academics, technical achievements, cultural contributions, and sports.
The event followed the theme “From One Story to Another”, symbolizing the transition of knowledge, experience, and achievements from the outgoing batch (2022) to the upcoming batches (2023 and 2024). The ceremony aimed not only to reward achievements but also to inspire junior students by showcasing real examples of dedication and success.
The planning of the AI Nexus Awards 2K26 began well in advance with a formal proposal submitted to the Head of the Department. An official email requesting permission to organize the event was sent, outlining the objectives, structure, and expected outcomes of the program.
Upon review, the Head of the Department forwarded the proposal to the Principal for final approval. After receiving approval, the organizing team proceeded with detailed planning.

Subsequently, an official meeting was conducted by the HOD with the AI Nexus core team. During this meeting, roles and responsibilities were assigned, event flow was finalized, and logistical requirements were discussed.
The event date was officially fixed as 11th April 2026, and the venue was confirmed as the JIT Auditorium.

The event was primarily organized by the 6th Semester students (Batch 2023), with active participation and support from students of all batches (2022, 2023, and 2024). This collaborative effort ensured smooth coordination and execution of the event.

4.1 Inaugural Session
The event commenced at 10:00 AM with an auspicious Inaugural song, setting a positive and formal tone for the ceremony. This was followed by an address from the Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of recognizing student achievements and encouraged students to actively participate in both academic and extracurricular activities.
4.2 Cultural Performances
To enhance engagement and create an energetic atmosphere, students from the 2023 and 2024 batches performed various cultural activities, including dance and singing performances. These performances added vibrancy to the event and showcased the creative talents of students.
4.3 Awards Ceremony
The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, where students were recognized for their outstanding achievements. The awards were distributed batch-wise to ensure equal recognition across all academic levels.
Each batch had awards under the following categories:
• Academic Excellence
• Technical Achievement
• Cultural Excellence
• Sports Achievement
The 2022 batch had additional categories:

• Highest Package Placement Award
During the award distribution, the Head of the Department Dr. Madhu B R briefly explained the reason for selecting each awardee. For every announcement, the achievements and contributions of the student were mentioned, which helped the audience understand why the award was given. This made the process clear and also motivated other students by showing the efforts required to receive such recognition.

4.4 Evaluation Process
The selection of award winners was based on a structured and fair evaluation system. Students were evaluated using multiple parameters including academic performance (CGPA), participation in events, and achievements in technical, cultural, and sports activities.
The scoring methodology ensured transparency and fairness, and all submissions were verified through supporting documents such as certificates and records.
4.5 Engagement Activities
To maintain audience interaction and enthusiasm throughout the event, several fun activities were conducted, including:
• Memory Bowl Game
• Movie Name Guessing
These activities helped in keeping the audience actively involved and added an element of enjoyment to the program.
Towards the end of the event, a video presentation showcasing memorable moments was displayed. This segment created an emotional connection among students and faculty, reflecting on their journey and experiences.
Following this:
• A group photo session was conducted
• Food hampers were distributed to all participants
The event concluded successfully at 2:00 PM.
