Date: 22 May 2026
Time: 02:00 PM – 3:00 PM
As part of the Universal Human Values (UHV) course (BUHK408), an interactive classroom activity was conducted to enhance students’ understanding of human values, ethical living, and their application in real-life situations. Students were divided into groups of 4–5 members and assigned various topics related to Universal Human Values to discuss and present.
Each group prepared a PowerPoint presentation and presented their assigned topic, connecting the concepts to relevant real-world scenarios and practical examples. The activity encouraged students to analyze human values in the context of personal life, family, society, professional ethics, and environmental responsibility.
During the session, students actively participated and demonstrated their understanding of topics such as harmony within the individual, family relationships, social responsibility, ethical decision-making, sustainable living, trust, respect, and human aspirations. The use of real-life case studies and contemporary examples
made the presentations engaging and meaningful.
The activity helped students improve their teamwork, communication, presentation, and critical-thinking skills while fostering awareness of the importance of values in everyday life. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, thoughtful discussions, and interactive learning among the students.
Overall, the activity was highly successful in promoting value-based education and encouraging students to reflect on the role of Universal Human Values in building a harmonious and responsible society.
