Department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) offers four-year B.E course in the discipline started in the year of 2011 with an annual intake of 60 students. Information Science and Engineering are one of the core fields that have modernized our society and world in the 21st century.
The department of ISE educates the students from the basic to specialized subjects of computing to disseminate information science knowledge and technology, and to produce competent Information Science Professionals. The department is an active and vibrant place that has outstanding faculty members including one professor, two associate professors, and nine assistant professors. Our graduates are very successful and have found excellent placement in top-ranking companies. The department also organizes various educational programs, extracurricular activities and entrepreneur development activities regularly for the faculties and students.
To be a department of excellence for education in Information Science and Engineering, innovation, research and work towards empowering students for professional competence and entrepreneurial skills.
M1: To provide state-of-the-art infrastructure with modern and innovative teaching methodology.
M2: To encourage and nurture collaborative and interdisciplinary projects that aid academic and industrial research.
M3: To promote activities to inculcate ethical practices and entrepreneurial skills.
PEO1. Graduates of Information Science and Engineering will be able to utilize mathematics, science. engineering fundamentals, theoretical as well as laboratory based experiences to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems and succeed in advanced engineering or other fields.
PEO2. Graduates of Information Science and Engineering will succeed in entry-level engineering positions in Information Technology Enabled services in regional, national, or global industries.
PEO3. Graduates of Information Science and Engineering will be prepared to communicate and work effectively on individual and team based engineering projects while practicing the ethics of their profession consistent with a sense of social responsibility.
PEO4. Graduates of Information Science and Engineering will be equipped to recognize the importance of, and have the skills for, continuous learning to become experts in their domain and enhance their professional attributes.
PSO1. (Knowledge/Skills) Explore emerging technologies in the field of Information Science and engineering using the knowledge and skills gained through programming and informatics courses.
PSO2. (Application/Analysis/Problem solving) Apply techniques in different domains to create innovative products and services in the areas like Data analytics, Software Engineering, Data Mining, Information security.
PSO3. (Value / Attribute) Work on various platforms as an individual / team member to develop useful and safe information system for the society and nation.
