Dr. Maruthesha Reddy M.T. obtained M.Sc Geology in 1981, M.Tech (PMDH-Post M.Sc in
Hydrogeology) in 1982, DEP (PG Diploma in Environmental Planning) in 1983 from Mysore
University, Mysore and PhD from Bangalore University, Bangalore. He has served the
Department of Civil Engineering, M.V.J.College of Engineering, Bangalore 1983, and gaining
promotion as an Assistant Professor in January 1985. Since then he served there as an
Assistant Professor till 15 th August, 2010, on 16 th August, 2010 he joined South East Asian
College of Engineering and Technology (SEACET) as a Professor and Head of the Department
of Civil Engineering till 29 th of July,2012. On 30 th July, 2012 he joined Acharya Institute of
Technology, Dr.S.Radhakrishnan Road, Soladevanhalli, Bangalore-560 107 as a professor in the
Department of Civil Engineering, till December 2017, January 2018 Joined Dr.SMCE as a
professor and HOD,Department of Civil engineering, Bangalore. From August 2019 to 1 st
October 2022 Worked as Scientist and Researcher at LION INDIA (PVT) LIMITED,
Bangalore, Karnataka. Meantime worked as professor of Geology in CITY ENGINEERING
COLLEGE, Bangalore.At present he is working as Professor of Earth resources and
Engineering, Civil Engineering Department, Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bangalore,
Karnataka 560082.
He is a fellow of the Geological Society of India (FGS) and Mineralogical Society of India
(FMS). Besides he is a Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (MISTE) and
Member of Indian Water Works Association (MIWWA).
He has authored 35 national and international journal papers and 25 text books. He is the
recipient of Dr.MVJ award for his outstanding journal publications and VIFA Award in the
subject Hydrogeology (Lifetime)
He got best teacher Award, best proctor, best proctor coordinator Award.
