Dr. M. Narendra Kumar, presently serving as a Professor at the Centre for Incubation, Innovation, Research & Consultancy (CIIRC) within Jyothy Institute of Technology in Bengaluru, has an academic background encompassing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, a Master’s degree from Pondicherry University, and a Doctoral degree specializing in the field of heat transfer and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) from VTU. He holds GATE qualification and boasts a comprehensive teaching career spanning 20 years at the undergraduate level and 10 years at the postgraduate level and research in engineering education.
His academic contributions extend to guiding over 30 projects at the undergraduate engineering level and 15 projects at the postgraduate level, He has authored more than 18 research papers presented in international conferences and refereed journals. Additionally, he has actively participated in over 15 workshops and serves as a reviewer for several reputable journals. His academic interests lie in diverse areas such as Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid & Gas Dynamics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Turbo Machines, and Internal Combustion Engines.
He holds the distinguished titles of Life Member of ISTE and MIE. He has engaged in research funded projects, including his ongoing work on a project funded by ISRO-SAC (Indian Space Research Organisation – Space Applications Centre), Ahmadabad, focusing on heat transfer applications.
