Dr. K. S. Sreekeshava is an accomplished academic and researcher in Civil Engineering with over 10 years of teaching experience. He currently serves as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is also serving on the editorial boards of Scientific Reports (Springer Nature), Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering Technology (Savvy Science Publishers), and Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology (Learning Gate). Holding a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering & Sciences from BMS College of Engineering (Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi), his expertise spans Earthquake Engineering, Concrete Technology, Soil-Structure Interaction, GIS applications in Water Resources, and Masonry Structures. He has also enhanced his skills with a postgraduate certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from IIIT Nagpur. A prolific author and editor, he has published 3 authored textbooks, 6 edited books, 26 international journal papers, 12 conference papers, and 19 book chapters. His research impact is reflected through 244 citations, an h-index of 8, and an i10-index of 5 since 2020. He also holds a design patent for a safety helmet equipped with a camera and a solar-powered fan for construction workers. Dr. Sreekeshava has successfully secured and managed research and faculty development grants, including ₹2 lakhs from VTU TEQIP and ₹4.5 lakhs from AICTE for FDPs, and has guided 14 KSCST-sponsored projects. A life member of numerous professional bodies such as ISTE, ICI, INSC, NICEE, IAENG,ISET, IGS, and IEI, he also serves as a reviewer for several esteemed international journals from Elsevier,Springer, and MDPI. Under his dynamic leadership, the Civil Engineering Department at JIT has receivedNBA accreditation for two consecutive tenures and achieved the ICI Ultratech Outstanding Student Chapter Award (Karnataka, 2023). He is currently supervising six Ph.D. scholars and providing extensive consultancy services in Civil Engineering.
