Field Visit to in-house Sewage Treatment Plant

Students of 4th semester were taken to the in-house sewage treatment plant (STP) as it would
help the students to better understand the theoretical concept learnt in the class.
The visit to STP was helpful for students to physically see the treatment of waste water and
co-relate it with theoretical knowledge. Students were able to see the collection of the
sewage, aeration and sedimentation tank, filter feed tanks, and pressure sand filter and
activated carbon filter and sump. The treated water is being used for the plantation purpose in
the JIT campus.
