Course: Database Management System (BCS403)
Faculty Name: Dr. Annie Sujith, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE
Semester: IV th semester, B section
In the DBMS course, during the implementation of the DBMS mini-project, initially, students were introduced to the traditional development stack using XAMPP, HTML, and CSS for front-end design, with MySQL via phpMyAdmin for backend database handling. This gave students a foundational understanding of database application development. Additionally, to bridge the gap between academic learning and evolving industry practices, the students were introduced to Agentic Code Development, Prompt Engineering and Vibe Coding. The students were taught how to work with AI Agents to debug code, generate suggestions, customize applications, and deploy full-fledged software systems. This forward-thinking initiative equipped students with modern tools and workflows prevalent in the software industry. By equipping students with both foundational and futuristic skills, this innovative approach paved the way for technologically adept, industry-ready graduates who are well-positioned to thrive in the evolving landscape of software development.
