3D Printing Design & Development of Prototypes

A workshop on “3D Printing Design & Development of Prototypes” was conducted at Jyothy
Institute of Technology in association with Indian Concrete Institute- KBC and WOL 3D
from 4 th March 2024 to 5 th March 2024 in the presence of the students and staffs of Civil
engineering Department. The inaugural session was conducted by Mr. Gowtham from
WOL3D and further the workshop was conducted by Dr. Raghavendra Krishna, Associate
Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The workshop was setup in such a way the on day one of the workshop students were made
to understand the components and methodology of the 3D printing.
The workshop was truly knowledgeable in bridging the 3D printing technology in civil
engineering domain. The workshop was well crafted with elemental knowledge of 3D
printing to the recent advances in the industry.
The last part of the workshop was the hands-on session with the live 3D printing done in the
research lab at JIT.
