Faculty Development Program under AICTE VAANI Funding

Introduction

The Faculty Development Program (FDP) conducted on August 9th and 10th, 2024, was a significant initiative under the AICTE VAANI funding scheme, aimed at promoting education and professional development in regional languages. The program, conducted in Kannada, focused on the theme of “Smart Cities and Mobilities.” This theme is crucial in the context of rapid urbanization and the need for sustainable development.

Inauguration

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Narasimhan, Vice President of Jyothy Charitable Trust, and Dr. Gopalakrishna, Principal of Jyothy Institute of Technology. Both emphasized the importance of using regional languages in higher education and applauded AICTE for supporting such initiatives that enhance learning experiences in native languages. They also highlighted the relevance of smart cities and mobility solutions in today’s rapidly evolving urban landscapes.
