Dr. K.V.Muralidhar Sharma, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, received his interdisciplinary ( Engg.+ Management + ET) doctoral degree from VTU in the year 2021. He has studied M.E. in Production and Management from GIT, Karnataka University, pursuing a second year of M.A in Educational Technology from IGNOU and BE in Mechanical Engineering from BMS College of Engg., Bangalore.

He is a National Merit awardee (1981), College & district topper in SSLC (1981), got National level “SAP Award of Excellence” by MHRD through IIT Bombay and was nominated for the National Level award (Saraswati Samman) for his contribution in overall institutional development at PES (as Principal)

His Research Proposal in educational technology got MHRD – SAP National Award from IIT Bombay(2012), He has several Honours & recognitions in his research areas like; Selected as SARATHI mentor to guide research papers for the IEEE conference T4E19 by IIT Bombay and two papers under his mentorship were published under IEEE int. conference at IIT Bombay, he was selected as associate faculty for conduction of Educational Technology FDPs by IIT Bombay Dept of ET, Got scholarship from MHRD to attend 2 IEEE conferences on Educational Technology at IIT B, One of the top Performers in IITB Edex/CDEEP Project based MOOCs course on ET for Engg. Teachers & completed with HONOUR CODE etc.

He has 25 years of proven contributions both in teaching and in Industry, responsibilities like Principal, HOD, Placement Officer, & in various roles in Industry like Manufacturing Manager, Management representative – ISO 9001, building quality systems, MRP, etc. He has guided/guided many projects & research scholars (at PG & Ph.D. level)l. He has numerous research papers to his credit including SCOPUS-indexed international journals, reviewer for several research papers, published a few books and book chapters (One of the textbooks Authored was recommended as a reference text by DTE, Govt. of Karnataka). He was an advisory committee member at various international conferences. He has Memberships in several professional Organisations like ISHRAE, ISTE, IFERP, CSI, etc. He got an NPTEL-SWAYAM certificate of appreciation for his performance as an institutional SPOC.
