Admission Proceedure:
The admission procedure will commence after an eligible candidate has applied for admission and his application has been received in the admission office within the due date. Admission to 1st year degree will be done under 3 quotas;
CET quota (Government seat allocation through Common Entrance Test)
COMED-K quota (COMED-K seat allocation through Entrance Test)
Management quota (Direct admissions though Entrance test conducted at the college)
Allocation of Seats:
The seats in the various programs will be allotted based on merit- ranking of the student in the specified entrance test subject to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria for the program and the preferences indicated in the counseling form at the time of counseling (as per availability of seats).
For BE programs the seats shall be allocated based on merit ranking of the student in the CET and COMED-K. The eligibility criteria for admission to any one of the programs in Engineering is a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in class XII. A candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. It is mandatory for the candidate to have Pass grade in each subject of qualifying examination.
Regular updates will be done in our college web site note that for the programs with no entrance tests the seats will be allocated based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination specified under eligibility criteria and entrance test/interview conducted by JIT (where ever applicable).
Payment of Fees and Confirmation of Seat:
Candidate who are willing to join under Management quota will have to deposit the prescribed fee on the same day (immediately after counseling) by way of Cash, Cheque or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Jyothy Institute of Technology payable at Bengaluru on confirmation of the seat. Failure to pay the fee will result in forfeiture of the seat and the seat would be allotted to the next candidate.
Students who have been allotted seats through CET/ COMED-K have to produce appropriate documents along with Admission order copy. Fees will be specified as per the government orders.

The candidate must get registered for a program on the first day of the academic session. If a student fails to register and continuously absent himself/ herself for a period of one week or more then his/her name shall be struck off the rolls.
The students of JIT are required to wear the prescribed uniform during all the practical classes.
85% of attendance is mandatory to be eligible for University examination.
The allocation of seats for the reserved categories (SC/ ST/ OBC/ Physically Handicapped/Others) shall be as per the policy of the State Government.
Candidates should note the following:
Attested copies of the following documents must be attached with the admission form:
Certificate and Mark Sheet of Class X & XII.
Migration certificate from the Board/University last attended.
Rank card of qualifying examinations, if result is not declared then attach Admit Card (where ever applicable).
Character certificate and Medical fitness certificate for hostellers.
Anti Ragging Affidavit signed by Executive Magistrate/ Notary Public to be submitted.
All admissions are given on provisional basis subject to the verification of eligibility for the program as per Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of Karnataka and Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU)
Since no mid-course admissions can be made by the college as per VTU norms to fill a vacancy caused by mid course withdrawal. No objection certificate or Migration/Transfer Certificate for a mid course withdrawal to a student of any category shall only be given to a student after he/she has deposited the balance years fees and any other dues outstanding to the College.
All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidate.
All the disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of the Courts at Bengaluru City only.

Medical Facility

Round the clock doctor is available in Sai Ram Hospital near Konankunte Cross. JIT has a tie up with the hospital for 24/7 services.

Counselling and Proctor System

Each Faculty is assigned with 15 to 25 students and regular counsilling is done.
During the counselling feedback will taken from the student and the main purpose is to boost the morale of the student towards acedemic activities

Freeship and Scholarship

Scholarships are available to students to support full-time study at JIT Each year JIT awards several scholarships in the form of fee concession to meritorious candidates. The priority deadline for receipt of the Undergraduate application for scholarship is during the beginning of academic year.

Students who are having good academic performance will be given freeship,for all 4 years during their B.E. course. To avail freeship they have,to apply in the prescribed format available in the JIT office. The decision of the managing trustee is final in awarding freeship.

Student Feedback

On-line/off-line feedbacks are received from Students at regular intrevals during each semister about the quality of teaching and other infrastructural facilities provided to students. Improvements are made in the infrastructure and teaching process accordingly

It is situated in the basement of the building.
Catering is done in hygienic conditions and food is cooked in steam facilities.
The built up area is sufficient enough to cater to the administrative staff and students.

Grievance Cell

The college had constituted a “GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE’. Any parent / student can address their grievances to the Management/Principal in all the matters connected with the students welfare such as examinations, transport, canteen facilities, ragging and any other academic matter. In addition to this a suggestion box has been kept near the main office to receive grievance/suggestion from the students & parents.
The committee members will meet as and when the need arises and forwards their recommendations to the principal/management for further course of action.
The committee members will meet at least once a month to chalk out any problem that may arise from time to time. However, the committee will conduct meeting during emergency situations raised in ragging or any other situations.
